Pow-Wows; or, Long Lost Friend is a book by John George Hohman, self-published in 1820. Hohman, a Pennsylvania Dutch healer, collected home- and folk-remedies that have now come to be recognized as part of a folk magic tradition called “pow-wowing.”

This annotated version of the original text, made using the an open-source tool Twine, makes use of contemporary notions of hyperlinked knowledge to provide historical context to Hohman’s original text.
